Community-based Clinical Training

Community-based clinical training represents an innovative approach that enables healthcare students to gain insights into the diverse needs of their communities while simultaneously enhancing their professional skills. This immersive learning environment fosters competence in patient care, deepens understanding of the social determinants of health, and reinforces a commitment to service, thereby strengthening primary care and public health initiatives in rural and underserved areas.

To alleviate financial burdens that may hinder healthcare students’ experiences, we provide comprehensive support to health profession students, preceptors, and educational institutions. Our services include rotation placement assistance, student housing, travel support, and preceptor development, all offered at no cost within the 28-county region we serve.
