Hannah Lydiate
Preceptor Coordinator
Three Rivers AHEC

Hannah Lydiate As a Health Occupations student at Hardaway High School, I first took an interest in health careers. I had the opportunity to attend a Three Rivers AHEC Health Careers Summer Camp and was exposed to the many career options in the healthcare industry. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science at Columbus State University in 2005.

After graduation I worked in the Emergency Room at The Medical Center in Columbus and gained some valuable, hands-on experience. I left clinical healthcare to become a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and enjoyed the marketing and public relations experience but felt that I?d like to make more of a difference. I joined Three Rivers AHEC in March of 2008.

As the Preceptor Coordinator at Three Rivers, I work closely with the healthcare community to support clinical training in 28 counties in West-Central Georgia. I work with medical and allied health programs across the state to develop clinical rotation sites, recruit qualified preceptors and coordinate student placement. In addition, I support students form various post-secondary health education programs by providing housing and travel assistance and connecting students to resources during their training in our region.
