Are you a health professional interested in being involved in community-based clinical training?
Three Rivers AHEC currently has over 800 community-based volunteer faculty in our 28 county region. While these are primarily physicians, the list also includes:
- dentists
- pharmacists
- nurse practitioners
- nurse midwives
- physical therapists
- occupational therapists
- respiratory therapists
- nurse anesthetists
... and others. Many of these, through Three Rivers AHEC, also have faculty appointments at the medical schools, nursing programs, etc. Although teaching is its own reward, there are other benefits that come with teaching responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to: faculty status, bookstore discounts at participating schools, access to medical literature online through OVID®, assistance with learning resources, assistance with staff recruiting, etc.
If you would be interested in being a part of this program, please contact Hannah Lydiate, Clinical Training Coordinator via phone at 706-507-0894 or contact us online . |
